"Born from a collective adventure, the TWELVE distillery is rooted in the heart of the Aubrac plateau, in Laguiole (Aveyron). In 2013–2014, twelve friends (hence the name “Twelve”), all whisky enthusiasts, decided to turn a dream into reality: producing a 100% French whisky, crafted entirely from their local terroir.
 
 
The location carries rich symbolism: the distillery is housed in the former village presbytery, situated 1,000 meters above sea level on the Aubrac plateau. The site, listed as a historic monument, presented a unique challenge, reflecting the ambition and dedication of the founders.
 
 
Twelve whisky is deeply French in its roots: local barley, Aubrac spring water, and maturation in carefully selected barrels. The distillery emphasizes artisanal, small-batch production, highlighting the uniqueness of the location and its climate.
 
 
Maturation : Aged in multiple carefully selected barrels, Twelve 42° is bottled by gravity after several months of reduction, preserving its refined balance and aromatic complexity.
 
 
Nose : Delicate floral fragrances, pastry aromas, and subtle roasted notes. With aeration, hints of tonka bean, fresh butter, and milk chocolate biscuit emerge, finishing with beeswax, acacia flower, and ripe grape notes.
 
 
Palate : Gourmand and round, with touches of dried fruit and tonka bean that dissolve gracefully into a delicate vanilla character.
 
 
Finish : Harmonious and lingering, reflecting the elegance and accessibility of this small-batch French single malt."
