- "Herradura was founded in 1861 by Feliciano Romo in Amatitàn, a small town located about 10 km from the city of Tequila, in the state of Jalisco.
- Legend has it that Feliciano Romo, while looking for the ideal place to build the distillery, found a horseshoe, always considered a lucky charm, so he decided that it would be the ideal place for his business.
- Herradura owns all the agave plantations from which the tequila comes.
- In addition, Herradura ferments, distills, ages and bottles the entire range, without adding additives, colorings or sweeteners.
- Thanks to an idea from Gabriela de la Peña, Feliciano Romo's wife, Herradura was the first hacienda to produce reposado, the eleven-month-old tequila, in 1974. The first production of tequila añejo dates back to 1962 and has aged for two years in rover barrels.
- Nose: cooked agave, hint of anise, fruits, spices.
- Palate: delicate with subtle notes of cooked agave, hint of butter vanilla and dried fruits."
