"The JM distillery is located in a mythical setting, at the foot of Mount Pelée, the highest point in Martinique.
  
The JM VSOP rum from Martinique is made from pure pressed cane juice, it is one of the brand's finest vintages, having benefited from aging for 4 to 5 years at the JM distillery, in American bourbon barrels, which allowed it to develop rare and complex aromas.
  
Nose: We find both the dry, smoky, almost toasted woody notes of the oak barrel. But also aromas of tobacco, honeyed blond tobacco or refined cigar. It is particularly complex, since we also find notes of sugar with hints of spices, liquorice, sugar cane honey, coffee, brown caramel, pistachio caramels, coconut bars...
  
On the palate, we can discern notes of coconut milk, which underlie the woody notes smoked and all the roasted notes. A subtle balance is achieved with the spices of cane sugar (cinnamon, ginger and cloves) and the roasted coffee."
