"Pastis (from the Provençal Occitan pastisson: pâté or mixture) is the name given to alcoholic beverages flavored with anise and licorice. Pastis in Occitan also means boredom, an unpleasant or confusing situation: what a pastis!
  
This pastis is made at the Distillerie des Terres Rouges with a blend of several plants and spices.
  
It is this infusion of plants, including licorice, that gives it its beautiful natural color.
  
Its nose has very green notes of fennel, star anise, and cardamom.
  
Its palate: All the roundness of bold anise, punctuated by notes of lemon balm with a hint of cumin."
