- "While Marseille is recognized as the birthplace of Pastis, Saint-Tropez was one of the very first cities to launch its own Pastis in the early 1950s. Seventy years later, led by friends from Saint-Tropez, Pastis 12/12 aims to revive this local tradition while respecting the specific characteristics that make the Saint-Tropez peninsula so beautiful.
- Patis 12/12 is produced in the Cristal Limiñana family distillery, which is the oldest distillery in Marseille (1884) and one of the few still operating in the Phocaean city.
- Patis 12/12 thus seeks to combine tradition and modernity. It defines itself as a chic and popular pastis, as reflected in its bottles, which echo the aesthetics of glass pastis decanters from the 1950s.
- Their designs, specially designed by Quentin Monge, are contemporary and depict typical landscapes of the Saint-Tropez Peninsula.
- The name of our pastis comes from an old bowls expression, each game being played to 13 points, '12/12' meaning 'match ball' for both teams.
- The first step in creating Pastis 12/12 is the distillation of star anise in column stills, followed by a series of macerations of various carefully selected plants and spices. These plants and spices are dried and then macerated in a very specific order to extract their aromatic properties. A note of almonds completes the blend.
- Nose: A luminous, veiled copper color, with a beautiful, powerful and rich nose of licorice, star anise, and candied fruit.
- A fresh, tangy finish with light hints of almonds subtly reminiscent of the Moorish style.
