- "Young Eugène Laponche, newly arrived from Auvergne, settled in Draguignan in the Var region. Having married the daughter of a beekeeper, he also developed a passion for his father-in-law's profession. Thus, in 1925, he began beekeeping with around fifty modern hives (framed hives). With the help of the Mediterranean climate, his apiary quickly prospered.
- His son François learned the trade during his vacations. After obtaining an agricultural technician's certificate, he himself became a beekeeper in 1973 and took over the family business. The 1980s were marked by a craze for natural and regional products, including honey. But also by the arrival of a parasite, the varoa mite, which destroyed a large part of the French bee population. François Laponche refocused the business on honey production and the sale of colonies, and he practiced the great transhumance. With passion and courage, he pursued the beautiful his family's beekeeping tradition.
- This honey comes from the encounter between the bees of the Bouverie Rûcher and the various flowers foraged throughout the transhumance periods."
