"The Maison de Champagne Deutz was founded in 1838 in Aÿ (a former French commune located in the Marne department in the Grand Est region) by two Prussians, one of whom was William Deutz. One was a wine merchant and the other sold champagne. The two founders handled bottling, disgorging, dosage, and labeling, even before they owned their own champagne and vines. Throughout the 20th century, the founders' heirs gradually defined the vineyard by purchasing plots in the best Champagne terroirs. Today, Maison Deutz is owned by the renowned Roederer family.
  
The 2013 Deutz Blanc de Blancs was vinified and aged in stainless steel vats to preserve maximum freshness.
  
On the nose, this champagne offers beautiful notes of white flowers, then, after a few moments, evolves into a signature more indulgent aromas. We thus find notes of yellow fruits and a subtle minty note.
  
On the palate, the 2013 Deutz Blanc de Blancs presents a frank and fresh attack. The wine's texture is both smooth and mineral. We find a beautiful complementarity between the elegance of the chalky soils of the Côte des Blancs and the broader shoulders of the Chardonnays from the Montagne de Reims.
  
The finish is intense and persistent.
