- "In 1809, Charles Meunier, a merchant in colonial products and passionate about botany, established himself as a distiller by partnering with Camille Teisseire, a manufacturer of Ratafias and other liqueurs in Grenoble. He experimented tirelessly and developed a distillate composed of alpine plants and génépi, thus creating the first Génépi des Alpes.
- In 1841, Charles Meunier, appointed tax collector in the town of Voiron, passed on his knowledge and recipes to his wife, Amable.
- With the help of her children, she set up the Distillery in Voiron under the name A. Meunier Mère et Fils and marketed Meunier Liqueurs made according to the recipes created by her husband.
- In 1975, Eugène Modelski, former financial director of the Compagnie Française de la Grande Chartreuse, took over the Meunier Distillery, which was then up for sale. A connoisseur of the wine and spirits sector and an excellent manager, he restructured the company's sales network and ensured the sustainability of the operation despite a less favorable economic context.
- In 1984 After ten years of training, François, Eugène's eldest son, became the new Master Distiller of Maison Meunier. Distilled and methodical, he would manage the Distillery's production for more than thirty years.
- 1990, After several years spent marketing the House's products, Patrick Modelski took over the reins of the Distillery. Distillerie Meunier then experienced considerable growth, linked to the development of tourism in the Alps, which helped increase the popularity of the House's flagship product, Génépi.
- Finally, in 2021, the Distillery was passed on to Edouard and Arthur, who thus became the third generation of the Modelski family to watch over Maison Meunier.
- To make the Fir liqueur from the "Florilèges" collection, the Master Distiller carefully selected fir buds harvested in the spring. After a slow distillation, they are blended with an infusion of mountain plants that give the liqueur its sublime amber color tinged with green highlights.
- Nose evoking the tangy and slightly sappy aromas of fir.
- Frank, ample and precise palate, where the aromas of Fir and dried plants evoke notes of green Chartreuse.
- Long finish, without any heaviness."
