"Grand son of a winegrower, convinced that great wines could be made in Languedoc and a fierce desire to return to the land, Jean and Marie-Thérèse Orliac, settled in the valley of Fambétou, located between the mountains of Pic Saint Loup and Hortus, in the early 1970s.
  
Today with its production in three colors: white, red and rosé, with its estate wines (Domaine de l'Hortus) and its wines from the Domaine's vines but also carefully selected wines from neighboring winegrowers (Bergerie de Hortus), the name Hortus has gained worldwide fame.
  
The Wolf in the Sheepfold is a creation of the Orliac children, Marie, François and Yves, who wanted to have fun and renew the “entry-level” genre. This wine comes from a long succession of laughter, impatience and the quest for pleasure.
  
Nose : Cocktail of ripe red fruits (strawberry, raspberry), slightly minty, notes of sweet spices.
  
Mouth : Wine presenting a beautiful balance, very supple and round with few tannins and a delicious finish of red fruits."
