The origins of Maison Latour in Burgundy date back to 1797. The Latour family, traditionally a family of coopers, were winegrowers in Aloxe-Corton in the 17th century and subsequently built up a 50-hectare estate. In the village of Aloxe-Corton, the family also owns the Corton Grancey château and winery. Dating from 1834, this winery was the only building of its type constructed for winemaking at the time.
  
Maison Louis Latour selects its Juliénas from the steep, south-facing hills. In the best Over the years, Juliénas wines can rival those of Morgon and Moulin-à-Vent in terms of power and finesse. Due to a warmer climate and appropriate viticultural techniques, this Beaujolais Cru displays very unique characteristics supported by a traditional fermentation technique.
