  • "Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin is a Champagne house founded in 1772, and headquartered in Reims. It belongs to the luxury group LVMH.
  •  In 1772, Philippe Clicquot-Muiron founded a champagne house which later became the Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin champagne house.
  •  In 1775, the estate was the only one authorized to produce rosé champagne, so champagne enjoyed growing success, not only in France, but also in Europe.
  •  Until 1798, the bottles did not bear any distinctive sign. Philippe Clicquot decides to mark the caps with an anchor, a symbol of hope and prosperity.
  •  In 1796, Philippe Clicquot integrated his son, François Marie, into his champagne house and married Barbe Nicole Ponsardin on June 10, 1798.
  •  François died suddenly on October 23, 18051. Madame Clicquot was 27 years old when her husband died.
  •  She therefore took charge of her destiny, becoming one of the first modern entrepreneurs. At a time when women were excluded from business, she dared to take charge of the company founded by her father-in-law in 1772, a position she exercised with passion and determination.
  •  His creativity and his quest for innovation are at the origin of several firsts in Champagne: the first known vintage champagne, the invention of the riddling table and the first known blended rosé champagne. Three innovations which revolutionized the production of champagne and which were quickly adopted by producers, thus laying the foundations for the production of modern champagne.
  •  Madame Clicquot made her name a brand of excellence, and made it shine throughout the world. Her tremendous contribution earned her the nickname “Grande Dame de la Champagne”.
  •  Since its creation in 2000, this fun box has adapted to all styles. Inspired by the meticulous technique of origami, Veuve Clicquot Ice Box transforms into a portable champagne bucket, ideal for impromptu tastings. This box is 100% sustainable since it is made of cardboard and paper from sustainably managed and FSC-certified forests, and it is reusable and recyclable.
  •  This champagne is the signature of Veuve Clicquot. The Brut Carte Jaune is the expression of the style and quality of the House of Veuve Clicquot.
  •  This vintage is the result of a blend of grapes from 50 to 60 different vintages and is composed of up to 45% reserve wines.
  •  Its prolonged aging coupled with its special dosage liqueur, made from wines aged for 12 months in oak barrels, amplify the aromatic intensity.
  •  We find notes of white and yellow fruits (pear, apple, peach...), notes of citrus (mandarin, grapefruit), and finally aromas of pastries (brioche, croissant)."
