"Located in Les Arcs-sur-Argens, near Draguignan, Château Sainte Roseline is a very old abbey (12th century). The estate covers 108 hectares where 11 different grape varieties are cultivated to make rosé, red and white Cru Classé wines. In 1994, Bernard Teillaud took over the estate to make it one of the jewels of Provence wine estates.
  
The story of Roseline has left its mark on people in the area around Les Arcs. In the 13th century, when famine was hitting the countryside hard, Roseline, daughter of the Marquis de Villeneuve, Lord of Les Arcs, got into the habit of secretly emptying the family reserves to help the starving peasants. One day, her suspicious father asked her to show her what she was hiding under her apron, from which, miraculously, an armful of roses escaped. It is perhaps from this event that her religious vocation dates back. Prioress Superior of the abbey of Celle-Roubaud, she died in 1329. Exhumed five years after her death, her body was found intact, before being finally embalmed in 1894 and placed in a crystal shrine in the chapel, which has now become a renowned place of worship.
  
Lampe de Méduse is the signature cuvée of Château Sainte Roseline. Produced from the best grape clusters on the estate, the cuvée comes in three colors. The bottle, with its unique and iconic shape, is the fruit of the Baroness de Rasque de Laval's reflections.
  
Double sorting of the harvest then gravity-fed. Cold maceration for several days to enhance the fruity aromas of the harvest.
  
Aged in tuns and barrels for 12 months.
  
Red fruits (strawberries, blueberries, cherries and blackcurrants) are very fragrant in this wine, we also smell coffee and dark chocolate which open another dimension for this wine.
  
The mouth is round, fluid and we find these notes of coffee on the finish."
