- "Founded in 1850 in Saint-Satur, Domaine Laporte now spans 21 hectares overlooking the town of Sancerre and its unique geological formations. Situated on the banks of the Loire and adjacent to Saint-Satur, the estate has long been considered the gateway to the Sancerre appellation.
- The decision to convert the vineyard to organic agriculture arose in 1990, following a series of challenges from nature. Preserving this heritage became a priority, with vineyard practices designed to ensure its long-term sustainability. The Sancerre vineyard has been certified organic since 2013.
- Since 1986, the estate has been owned by the Bourgeois family, winemakers from Chavignol. Each generation has contributed their expertise, vintage after vintage. Parcel-by-parcel vinification, historically practiced at the estate, is a distinguishing feature and forms the foundation of a well-regarded range of wines that grace top tables in France and internationally.
- Vinification : gentle pneumatic pressing at low pressure, cold static settling, fermentation in stainless steel tanks for about 10 days, followed by 3 months ageing in stainless steel tanks.
- Nose : aromatic and expressive, with white flowers, citrus (grapefruit, lemon), light herbal notes, and a hint of mint.
- Palate : lively, fresh, and fruity, with a pure and elegant character, offering enough body to be satisfying without heaviness."
