- "Founded in 1850 in Saint-Satur, Domaine Laporte now covers 21 hectares, overlooking the town of Sancerre and its distinctive geological fault.
- Nestled at the foot of the village of Saint-Satur, along the Loire River, the vineyard has long been considered the gateway to the Sancerre appellation.
- The idea of converting the estate to organic farming emerged in 1990, following a series of challenging weather events. Preserving this heritage quickly became a priority, with a focus on sustainable viticultural practices to ensure the long-term health of the vineyard.
- The Sancerre vineyard has been certified organic since 2013.
- Since 1986, Domaine Laporte has been owned by the Bourgeois family, winemakers based in Chavignol.
- Each generation has contributed its expertise, vintage after vintage. Parcel-by-parcel vinification, historically practiced at the estate, remains a defining feature and has led to a diverse range of wines, forming the foundation of Laporte’s reputation on some of the finest tables in France and abroad.
- Sauvignon Blanc is a grape variety native to western France. Its exact origins remain uncertain—whether from the Loire Valley or the Garonne region—but it is known to thrive in temperate climates, such as those where the grapes for “Le Bouquet” are grown.
- These Sauvignons come from three regions particularly well-suited to its cultivation: the Loire Valley, the Tarn Valley, and the Charentes hillsides.
- The wine is aged on fine lees for three months.
- Highly aromatic, with notes of citrus such as grapefruit and lemon, along with floral hints of narcissus and jasmine. A dry, elegant white wine with a well-balanced of freshness and roundness."
