- Domaine Tempier is located in Provence in the Bandol appellation. The estate was founded in 1830 but truly came to prominence under the influence of Léonie Tempier in 1885 when she won a gold medal for her red wine made from Mourvèdre.
- In 1941, Bandol became an Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée (Regional Designation of Origin), one of whose regulations is to produce wines with a minimum of 50% Mourvèdre, and 18 months of barrel aging for red wines. Today, Domaine Tempier cultivates vines using sustainable agriculture in three communes and produces four wines.
- The Blanc Tempier retains a beautiful freshness despite the southern terroir, thanks to plots located in the latest and coolest sectors of the vineyard (Laidière, Migoua, and Petit Moulin). The relatively long aging in foudres gives it great complexity.
- Vinification: In vats and in Tuns.
- Aging: 10 months before bottling.
- Nose: Notes of citrus and blackcurrant buds.
- Palate: Fresh and slightly minty, with saline notes on the finish, which may evolve into honeyed and marine aromas."
