"The origins of the Nérolium Cooperative date back to the end of the 19th century. The perfume industry was booming at the time and the distilleries in Grasse required an increasingly large supply of raw materials. This is how the first real flower crops were created around the town and the cultivation of bitter orange trees developed in Vallauris and Bar-sur-Loup, where the climatic conditions were very favorable.
  
But, with their power, the perfume industry imposed its conditions. The owners of bitter orange trees decided to join together in 1895 in an agricultural union to no longer be subject to their control. Already part of the social economy movement, the story of Nérolium was born.
  
The Nérolium Cooperative was able to diversify by developing other activities: artisanal production of citrus jams, opening of a store in Vallauris and an eco-museum in Golfe-Juan.
  
This is what makes these citrus fruits with a subtle and refined taste that is put in jars.
  
The fruits come from the hills located opposite the cooperative.
