"It was out of love for the land that Gérard and Monique Biancone decided in 1983 to acquire the Bois de Rasque, a Provençal countryside overlooking Taradeau in the Var region.
  
Gérard, a mason by birth, and his wife Monique, who comes from a family of Bordeaux winegrowers, were committed to creating a traditional vineyard in the heart of Provence.
  
In 1992, a reception room, tasting room, and a barrel room were built to accommodate and age the red wines in optimal conditions. The 150m² underground aging cellar was built by the Compagnons du Devoir to maintain an optimal temperature for the reds, which were aged in oak barrels.
  
One of their daughters, Sophie Courtois-Biancone, took over management of the 100-hectare estate in 2006, 30 of which were planted with vines. She was joined by her brother Enzo in 2018, to assist with communication and management of the family estate.
  
The conversion to organic farming is underway.
