- Château les Ormes de Pez is located in the northern part of the Saint-Estèphe appellation, close to the hamlet of Pez. This estate has been part of the Médoc winegrowing landscape since the 18th century. In 1940, Jean-Charles Cazes acquired it along with Château Lynch-Bages, a Fifth Growth in Pauillac.
- Since then, the 35 hectares of this château have been in the Cazes family, who have done such good work that the first wine of Les Ormes de Pez is today a Cru Bourgeois, a designation that has evolved considerably to become a very demanding quality label, awarded to a cuvée and not to an estate.
- Aged in French oak barrels (45% of which are new).
- Nose: Intense and expressive, the nose offers notes of black and red fruits.
- Palate: On the palate, the palate seduces with its richness and deliciousness. displaying a beautiful tannic structure. The persistent finish concludes with lovely licorice notes.
- A very fine Saint-Estèphe in a great Bordeaux vintage."
