"Ruinart is the first Champagne house, founded in 1729 in Épernay by Nicolas Ruinart, the nephew of the Benedictine monk Dom Thierry Ruinart.
 
 
Located in the heart of Reims, the house guards a true treasure. Unique monuments of history and architectural feats, the Ruinart chalk cellars have been classified as a historic site since 1931 and were inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in July 2015. Nearly 40 meters underground, in the cool and dark cathedral-like cellars, the precious bottles patiently await the light. Since 1988, the house has been operated by MHCS (LVMH group), which also owns Moët & Chandon, Krug, and Veuve Clicquot.

Blend of 40 to 50 crus, including 20–30% reserve wines from various harvests of different years.
 
 
Nose : The first aromas reveal subtle fruit notes of reinette apple and apricot, along with hazelnut and fresh almond. Complexity is added with hints of elderflower and coriander seed. The second nose brings more intense scents of brioche and biscuit.
 
 
Palate : Smooth flavors of yellow fruits, plum tart, and ripe stone fruits unfold on the palate. Harmonious roundness and persistence envelop the mouth.
 
 
Finish : The final note highlights the characteristic freshness of Chardonnay."
