"Château Sociando-Mallet is a wine estate located in the village of Saint-Seurin-de-Cadourne and produces its wine under the AOC Haut-Médoc.
  
Sociando-Mallet is the archetype of high quality wine appearing neither in the 1855 grand cru classification nor in that of the bourgeois crus.
  
 This 2018 vintage pays tribute to the arrival of Jean Gautreau at the head of the property 50 years ago. On this occasion, Château Sociando-Mallet 2018 is adorned with a special label, dedicated to the person who took it to its current level, a visionary person who managed to create a unique identity, " neither raw bourgeois nor classified.
  
 After harvesting in crates and sorting before and after destemming, this Bordeaux red wine is vinified in thermo-regulated inert vats then aged 90% in new barrels.
  
 On the nose, complex aromas of blackcurrant, dark chocolate and leather with hints of vanilla and clove.
  
 A structured and straight palate, with lots of freshness, depth and well-integrated woodiness."
