"Château du Rouët was once a Templar farm and later a former coaching inn. A few years before the French Revolution, the Marquis de V fell in love with the estate, regularly hunted there, and decided to plant vines and olive trees.
 
 
In 1840, Château du Rouët was acquired by the family who still owns it today. The property spans over 1,000 hectares of forest, providing additional income through the sale of maritime pine and cork.
 
 
In 1927, after a major fire devastated the Estérel from Mandelieu to La Motte, Lucas Savatier took measures to protect the forest by clearing firebreaks and planting vines and peach trees.
 
 
After 1945, the estate began selling wine and significantly expanded production in the 1960s.
 
 
In 1990, Martin Savatier modernised the vineyard and contributed to the creation of the Fréjus appellation, helping Château du Rouët build a reputation both in France and abroad.
 
 
In addition to its winemaking and viticulture activities, Château du Rouët has developed a trading range under the labels Le Rouët, Cœur du Rouët, and Teres. These premium wines are closely linked to the château’s image and are produced in collaboration with partner winemakers who respect their vines and terroirs. Bottling takes place at the estate, ensuring quality, terroir expression, and the continuation of the family’s winemaking expertise.
