"The story of Château d’Astros begins in the 12th century with the establishment of a Templar Commandery. After being sold as national property during the French Revolution, the Old Château d’Astros was acquired by Maximin Martin, owner of Marseille soap factories. In 1860, his grandson Marc-Maximin Martin built the new Château d’Astros, inspired by Italian architectural style.
 
 
A family estate for nine generations, Château d’Astros has always included cellars and vineyards. In 1950, the estate focused on producing everyday drinking wines. After renovations and new plantings, Château d’Astros produced its first AOC Côtes de Provence wine in 1970. Since then, the estate has received numerous awards at prestigious competitions such as the Concours Général Agricole de Paris and the Concours des Grands Vins de Mâcon.
 
 
A true treasure, Château d’Astros houses several historical monuments and served as the setting in 1990 for the film Le Château de ma mère by Yves Robert, based on Marcel Pagnol’s famous novel. Today, at the heart of Provence, Château d’Astros overlooks the Vidauban plain and is an environmentally engaged vineyard, covering 680 hectares, with 80 hectares of vines and 10 hectares of apple orchards. In 2017, the estate began its transition to organic agriculture, with the first organic vintage and new range released in 2021.

Nose : Delicate, elegant, and complex, with notes of white flowers, red berries, pink grapefruit, and a light hint of caramel on the finish.
 
 
Palate : Harmonious and intensely aromatic, with a powdery character.
