"Chateau Alta Gaia is one of the best wines of Bordeaux and Bordeaux Supérieur on the borders of the left bank of the Dordogne near Saint-Emilion and Castillon la Bataille. Château Alta Gaia produces wine on 16 hectares on the place called from Petrus to Ruch. This is why the castle is also called Château Petrus Gaia, coming from the Petrus farm and the two old mills of the property. Château Alta Gaia or Pretus Gaia avoids confusion with its cult neighbor Petrus in Pomerol by adding the name Gaia, mother goddesses of Greece. It is the Malemanche family who has run Chateau Alta Gaia since 2015 after having taken care of the vines since 2003.
  
Harvest : Sorted on a vibrating table, not crushed, the grapes were placed in vats at room temperature using a forklift in order to avoid any mistreatment of the seeds.
  
For red wine we find the Alta Gaia vintage number 2 is also aged in oak barrels but for a period of 6 months.
  
A red wine perfectly balanced between woody and fruity.
  
The mouth is full of breadth, the tannins are round and silky, the whole is very well balanced."
