- "With over 70 Burgundy appellations, Domaine Vincent Girardin has earned a reputation for excellence. Founded in 1980 in Santenay, the estate gradually expanded across the finest villages of the Côte de Beaune. Now based in Meursault, it operates a significant négociant-éleveur activity, offering seven Grand Crus and around thirty Premier Crus from Burgundy.
- The domaine owns 30 hectares of vineyards in the Côte de Beaune, planted with Chardonnay and Pinot Noir across nine villages. The historic heart of the estate lies in Santenay and Meursault, with additional plots in Puligny-Montrachet, Chassagne-Montrachet, Saint-Aubin, Volnay, and Pommard. In the northern Côte de Beaune, the domaine also has vines in Savigny-Lès-Beaune and Aloxe-Corton.
- The grapes are hand-harvested and carefully sorted. After gentle crushing and destemming, a short cold maceration extracts primary aromas. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, with adapted remontage and/or punching down.
- The wine is then aged for 15 months in French oak barrels (approximately 30% new), during which malolactic fermentation also occurs. Just before bottling, the wine undergoes light filtration.
- Nose : Elegant aromas of red fruits (raspberry, redcurrant) and dark fruits, complemented by subtle spices and balsamic hints.
- Palate : Smooth, tender, and well-structured, with fine tannins, a round texture, and expressive fruity notes. The wine combines elegance, complexity, and balance."
