"The Château de Davenay vineyard was the first to enter the Picard family's pocket in 1986.
  
Perched on the heights of the medieval village of Buxy, it overlooks part of its vineyard, nestled at an altitude of over 300 meters. Located precisely in a small, extremely bucolic hamlet, the estate's vineyard extends over more than 11 hectares in the Montagny 1er Cru appellation, spread over 3 climates. Some planting campaigns date back to the beginning of the 20th century, in the 1900s.
  
Over the decades, the owners have replanted regularly. The very varied age of the vines gives the terroir great richness and diversity, as well as a stable and solid structure, essential qualities in these turbulent times of climate change. The 15 hectares of Château de Davenay are managed using organic viticulture and worked in accordance with the plots until bottling. The nectars obtained are straight, in line direct with the subsoil from which they come.
  
The wines are pressed and clarified before fermenting in stainless steel vats with vatting of about 1 month. The Premier Cru is then aged 70% in vats and 30% for a period of 12 months before bottling.
  
The nose is floral, and presents notes of acacia, hawthorn, opening onto more fruity notes of white peach and honey.
  
On the palate, it is a fruity, lively wine, with a slightly vanilla finish."
