  • "Founded in 1859 by Monsieur Louis Jadot, Maison Louis Jadot has always been located in the heart of Beaune, at the center of the vineyard. Housed in a 19th-century townhouse, it features magnificent cellars connected to the Couvent des Jacobins, just steps away.
  • The Maison was led by three generations of the Jadot family, then for 30 years by Monsieur André Gagey. Today, it is run by his son Pierre-Henry, assisted by Monsieur Jacques Lardière, the Maison’s winemaker for over 40 years, before passing the torch to Monsieur Frédéric Barnier.
  • The Pommard vineyard lies between Beaune to the north and Volnay to the south. Positioned on a slope in the middle of the vineyard, it faces east or southeast. The commune of Pommard produces only red wines, with no Grand Cru vineyards.
  • Harvesting is done by hand into small crates to preserve the integrity of the fruit. The grapes are then carefully hand-sorted and destemmed. Maceration takes place in open wooden or stainless steel vats for 3 to 4 weeks.
  • Aging lasts about 18 months in barrels from our cooperage, approximately one-third of which are new."
