"Born into one of Burgundy’s most renowned winegrowing families, Francine Picard took over the estate historically run by her father in the late 1990s. The Domaine Au Pied du Mont Chauve spans the villages of Chassagne-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet, and Saint-Aubin, at the heart of some of Burgundy’s finest climats and terroirs.
 
 
With a strong commitment to harmony between the land and the wines, Francine Picard cultivates her vineyards according to biodynamic principles, working with passion and meticulous care to produce wines that faithfully express the identity of their terroir.
 
 
From a vineyard covering 110 hectares managed under agro-ecological practices, the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir of Domaine Au Pied du Mont Chauve are renowned for their quality, precision, and elegance.
 
 
Since May 2019, Antoine Lepetit de la Bigne, a specialist in biodynamic viticulture, has joined the estate as Technical Director.
 
 
Winemaking : The grapes are hand-harvested in small crates, sorted on a sorting table, and 100% destemmed. Whole berries are then transferred directly into tanks to preserve the integrity of the fruit.
 
 
Fermentation follows traditional Burgundian methods in temperature-controlled open vats.
 
 
Aging : The wine is aged for 15 months in Burgundian oak barrels, including 30% new oak."
