- "Founded in 1859 by Louis Jadot, Maison Louis Jadot has always been located in the heart of Beaune, at the centre of the vineyard. Housed in a 19th-century hôtel particulier, it boasts impressive cellars connected to the Couvent des Jacobins just a short walk away.
- The estate has been managed by three generations of the Jadot family, then for 30 years by André Gagey. Today, it is led by his son Pierre-Henry, assisted by Jacques Lardière, the house’s winemaker for over 40 years, before passing the torch to Frédéric Barnier.
- Ladoix is one of the northern villages of the Côte de Beaune, located northeast of Aloxe-Corton at the foot of the Corton hill.
- Harvest is done by hand in small crates to preserve the integrity of the grapes. The fruit is then gently pressed and fermented in oak barrels, one-third of which are new. Aging lasts approximately 15 months on fine lees before preparation for bottling.
- The Ladoix White ‘Le Clou d’Orge’ 2021 is a rich wine offering great freshness and vibrant acidity. Its aromas evoke ripe stone fruits and citrus. The lovely body combined with its acidity creates a harmonious and balanced palate.”
