- "Domaine Jacques Prieur, located in the Côte de Beaune, is one of Burgundy’s most prestigious estates, renowned for its commitment to excellence and its respect for traditional winemaking practices. Founded in 1830, the estate is still run by the Prieur family, today represented by Laurence and Bertrand Prieur.
- The estate’s philosophy is based on respect for the terroir and meticulous vineyard management through sustainable viticulture. The domaine covers 21 hectares in some of the region’s most celebrated appellations, including Meursault, Pommard, Corton, Beaune, and others. The vines are carefully cultivated to fully express the nuances of each terroir, and harvesting is carried out by hand to ensure rigorous grape selection.
- The domaine is renowned for its precise vinification and oak barrel aging, which preserve the freshness and purity of the fruit while adding subtle woody and spicy notes. Wines from Domaine Jacques Prieur are known for their balance, finesse, and remarkable aging potential.
- Vinification takes place in open wooden vats with regular punch-downs, followed by complete malolactic fermentation. The wine is then aged for around 17–18 months in oak barrels, providing both structure and elegancewhile preserving the purity of the fruit.
- Appearance: deep ruby color with violet highlights.
- Nose: charming and seductive, with aromas of ripe red and black berries, accompanied by soft spices, licorice, and delicate toasted notes.
- Palate: flavorful and juicy, combining fresh fruit and depth. The attack is smooth, the texture generous and well-structured, supported by elegant tannins and a persistent finish with hints of licorice, vanilla, and black fruits."
