- "The Robert Groffier et Fils estate was created in the 19th century by Frédéric Groffier. The vineyard is located in the communes of Chambolle-Musigny and Gevrey-Chambertin, in Côte de Nuits. Each generation is invested by the desire to exploit the terroir with the greatest respect for the soil and the surrounding nature.
- Since 2005, Nicolas Groffier and his sister Julie have been running the family estate. They take respect for the land and the vines to heart and practice meticulous viticulture where work on the vines is carried out vine by vine. On the winemaking side, Nicolas Groffier produces great wines for aging which require around ten years in the cellar to be able to reveal their potential.
- Spread across the two villages of Morey-Saint-Denis and Chambolle-Musigny, the “Grand Cru “Bonne Mares” from Domaine Grofier is rare, deep and distinguished.
- Manual harvest and partially destemmed.
- 100% whole harvest, 30% new barrels.
- Aging on lees in barrels.
- The powerful bouquet makes us think of the fruity elegance of a Chambolle which harmonizes with the mineral and spicy power of Morey. Black cherries, plums, crème de cassis and cloves.
- Exhilarating, the palate reveals a perfect balance, a complexity of flavors and an intoxicating depth.
- The finish which never ends is imbued with a beautiful minerality."
