  • "Lauzières was likely founded in the 16th century, at a time when the Huguenots were taking refuge in the Alpilles. But it was in 1992 that Gérard Pillon and his partner, both wine enthusiasts, discovered Domaine de Lauzières, just off the Via Aurelia (southeast of the Baux de Provence valley), in the heart of this light-filled terroir.
  • During the vineyard's restructuring, they planted Petit Verdot, previously unknown in Provence, pruned some of the vines in a lyre-shaped style (a common pruning technique in Switzerland to promote sunlight), converted the estate to organic farming, vinified with indigenous yeasts, and aged some of the wines in concrete eggs...
  • In 2011, Gérard Pillon passed the torch to his son Christophe, who took over Domaine de Lauzières entirely to bring his visionary projects to fruition.
  • The vines are cultivated in a goblet-shaped style on soil Clay-limestone. Harvested by hand at night.
  • The nose is expressive and complex, with notes of vine peach and citrus. After aeration, a beautiful aromatic palette is revealed.
  • The attack on the palate is fresh. This wine is balanced and generous.
  • It displays a beautiful fullness on the palate and a fairly long finish."
